The Launching Grid

Built for dexterous exploration, the APC40 mkII features a 5x8 RGB clip-launching grid. Launch clips and create or perform your track from the ground up using 40 responsive triggers. RGB lighting gives you visual feedback and displays 3 clip statuses: loaded, playing and recording. So now you can efficiently perform without having to keep glancing at your computer. Also featured is the ability to color code your clips with the RGB lighting for advanced visual organization and manipulate the scope of the 5x8 grid using the Shift button and directional arrows.

Assignable Faders

APC40 mkII comes equipped with an array of assignable faders and knobs: 9 reinforced faders and 8 channel control knobs are arranged in-line with each channel for an intuitive layout and more intelligent workflow. 8 light-up device control knobs make it easy to tweak device parameters while providing visual feedback of each parameter. The Sends button enable you to cycle through all 8 send buses right from their APC40 mkII. In addition, the A/B crossfader has been reworked with the ability to be assigned and re-assigned without ever having to touch the mouse.

Ableton Live Integration

APC40 mkll comes pre-mapped to Ableton Live (version 9.1.3 or later) for a quick out-of-the-box performance and production setup. When APC40 mkll is plugged into your computer, its hardware controls correspond 1-to-1 with Ableton Live’s interface with no additional configuration required. All of APC40 mkll’s controls can be re-assigned instantly for customized setups that adjust with your performance or production style. APC40 mkll is also powered over USB and supports plug-and-play connectivity, allowing you to take it from the studio to the stage. It doesn't matter if you are an electronic music artist using Live is your canvas, a DJ using Live for performance and real-time mixing, or a more traditional musician using Live on stage or in the studio, you will find the APC40 mkll to be the intuitive and powerful instrument that directly links your creativity with Ableton Live.

The Production Suite

APC40 mkll comes stacked with a music production suite, including a version of Ableton Live, 2 high-definition virtual synthesizers, and 5GB of professional samples and loops for immediate music creation. Ableton Live Lite gives musicians and producers the ability to spontaneously compose, record, remix, improvise, and edit musical concepts in a fluid audio/MIDI environment. Also included is the Puremagnetik Effect Racks, a collection of 200+ multifaceted audio effects engineered for instant sound sculpting. This collection comes packed with an endless variety of channel strips, DJ and live sound effects, glitch racks, amp racks, modulators, filters, beat processors, and noise boxes.

Hybrid 3 by AIR Music Tech is a virtual synthesizer built for DJs, producers and sound designers who love to get their hands dirty. Create anything from fat, retro synth sounds to edgy, modern leads and anything in between.

SONiVOX Twist is a spectral morphing synthesis virtual instrument. Made up of a dynamic interface, advanced pattern generator, and onboard effects, Twist lets you create complex sounds using simple controls. Finally, 5 Toolroom artist launch packs and 5 Prime Loops sample packs feature a diverse mix of sounds from today's electronic music scene.
